East Rand Stereo's theme for this month is "Our Youth" and during June we will concentrate on the moral values of our youth - after all they are the decision makers of tomorrow. How will our teenagers spend Youth Day, 16th June? Will it be just another public holiday and a good reason for not attending school?

The abuse of drugs amongst our youth is becoming an increasing concern and East Rand Stereo would like to focus on drug abuse during this month. We also invite scholars/students from Grade eight to twelve to take part in our poem writing competition. Write a poem of less than 500 words on the theme "Drug Abuse" then forward it together with your and your schools' contact details to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Junie is die maand waarin Oos-Rand Stereo konsentreer op die jeug van vandag. Gaan Jeugdag op 16 Junie maar net as nog 'n vakansiedag vir leeglê en niksdoen wees - nog 'n goeie rede om nie skool toe te gaan nie? Hoe verantwoordelik is ons jeug van vandag - die jeug wat immers môre se besluitnemers gaan wees. 'n Groot kommer heers egter al hoe meer oor die misbruik van dwelms onder tieners en die gevolge van verslawing daarvan.

Oos-Rand Stereo wil van hierdie Temamaand gebruik maak om die bewusmaking van die gevaar van dwelms aan te wakker en daarom bied  ons 'n gedigkompetisie met die tema "Dwelmmisbruik" aan.
