Animal Month

 FERUARY - ANIMAL MONTH

The amount or stray cats and dogs accumulates day-by-day and eventually these animals end up in cages at SPCA branches country-wide. One main reason is that people cannot afford it any longer to keep them as pets as food and medication are becoming more expensive.

Animals have natural rights which must be acknowledged in South African law; these include the right to freedom from unnaturally induced pain; the right to shelter; the right to nourishment; the right to indulge their natural instincts; the right to freedom of movement and most importantly, the right to exist. Animals have intrinsic worth and their value should not be based on their usefulness to humans.

Take part in East Rand Stereo's initiative to relieve this burden on SPCA branches in Ekurhuleni. A collection point for cat and dog food is available at East Rand Stereo's office in 13 Louis Botha Square, Casseldale, Springs.
If you are an animal lover and would like to assist us, then please donate a few cans of food and we would gladly distribute them.

And in showing your support, why not change your profile picture on Facebook to that of your favourite animal for the month of February.

East Rand Stereo supports the rights of animals - do you?
