Die wees 'n Engel Netwerk is nog een van die suksesverhale van Oos Rand Stereo!

Being a community radio station broadcasting to the broad community of Ekurhuleni has meant that East Rand Stereo feels a definite responsibility towards the community to which we owe our very existence!

Daarom het die direksie en bestuur reeds al meer as vyf jaar gelede besluit om hierdie diens aan die gemeenskap te formaliseer in ons Wees 'n Engel Netwerk. Aanvanklik net gefokus op Kersfees en die hou van kersboomfunksies vir verskillende welsynsorganisasies regoor die Oos Rand,maar sedert verlede jaar en veral die begin van 2007 op 'n voltydse basis met ons Wees 'n Engel Netwerk op Dinsdae aande wat die nood en behoeftes van mense bring tot in die hart van elke Oos Rand Stereo luisteraar.

Such an effort will not be possible without the necessary funds and it is for that reason that East Rand Stereo hosts various fund raising activities for the Be An Angel network including two telethons each year, one appropriately just before winter so that we can assist families in need during the cold winter months and the other before December so that we an assists families during the Christmas period.

The first telethon for 2010, our Winter Woollies Telethon will be taking place on Friday 30 April 2010 from 06:00 to 16:00.
